Transform Me

After 4 years of wanderin’ the streets of Paris, France and Europe through works based on abstract calligraphy created and developed by Dark, a new series was born: Transform Me.

Transform Me captures the iconic characters of pop culture by transformin’ them into his own abstract calligraphic letters.

Each year, he creates alphabets of abstract letters based on a mixture between the different cultures and languages already existin’, thus advocating a universality of language. After a reflection on the link between language and image, he develops the idea that the characters of pop culture are, in their own way, the result of what could be called the universality of the image, speakin’ as well to someone of such and such a culture, without havin’ to add words. And so came the idea of linkin’ the two, a way of unifyin’ these cultures between language and image.

Some sketches, the first finished visuals, and here comes the Transform Me series, and ready to be developed both in urban space and on studio works.
